About the Park

The JEDD (Joint Economic Development District) Park is a 25-acre athletic field complex located at 2275 Pickle Road, Akron, OH 44312 (next to Schrop Intermediate School). The complex was constructed through the cooperative efforts of Springfield Township and the City of Akron in joint economic development. The land is owned by the City of Akron and is located in Springfield Township.

The property includes three softball/baseball fields, one HS baseball field and a soccer field. A covered pavilion, concession facility and maintenance building along with indoor restrooms are also part of the complex.

Baseball Fields

The baseball/softball fields can accommodate any age for youth softball,  baseball games up to 12U. The mounds and bases can be moved to accomodate any age group. The HS baseball field features 60 ft pitching mound, 90 ft bases and home run fence of 325' down each line and 400' to dead center field.
