Regular Meetings

The Springfield Township Board of Trustees meets in formal Regular Meeting format generally on the second Thursday of every month at 4:00 p.m. However, please see the meeting schedule, as there are some months that do not follow this pattern. Meetings are held at Townhall located at 2459 Canfield Road in the Trustees’ Meeting Room. Regular meetings include reports by Department Heads and the Township Administrator as well as Trustee approval of agenda items and/or legislation. The public is welcome to offer comments during the Public Comments portion of the agenda on township related matters, following the guidelines set forth in accordance with the Open Meetings Act.

Work Sessions

The Springfield Township Board of Trustees meets in a Work Session format every Wednesday at 3:30p.m.   Meetings are held at Townhall located at 2459 Canfield Road in the Trustees’ Meeting Room. Work Sessions are informal and are utilized by Trustees and Department Heads for weekly updates and information sharing only.  The public is welcome to observe during work sessions and may be afforded the opportunity to offer comments at the end of the session business or at a prior scheduled time during the work session.

Special Meetings

The Springfield Township Board of Trustees are permitted to call Special Meetings at any time for purposes they are permitted by law to act upon. The public must be notified of a Special Meeting 24 hours in advance of the scheduled meeting. The public notice must state the date, time, location, and purpose of the meeting.
